Howdy! My name is James Herbert and I'll be working here at Exodus Road Hobbies keeping your orders coming as well as up to date on the latest in all things Classic Battletech. Look forward to regular updates and for the forums to open back up soon. I hope to hear all about what you have to say.
A little bit about me: I'm an instructor at Fountainhead College of Technology here in Knoxville TN. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force. I'm married to the most perfect woman in the world. I have a 5 year old son whom I am indoctrinating as we speak. He is still working on movement mod dice but he likes all the right mechs.
I have been playing Battletech since 1989. I love to paint the mechs and sculpt the bases. I can quote the charts to play the game from the top (or bottom depending on your point of view) of my head. I love the 3025 era and I can go on for hours about Inner Sphere politics but couldn't tell you who the Vice President is or the current political "issues." I love the Classic Battletech back story and I'll be keeping you up to date as it evolves.
I'm active in the local battletech community. I am the Catalyst Game Labs Classic Battletech Field Agent for Knoxville/East Tennessee. I'm working all the local gaming conventions and support all the local gaming groups. Even if they don't play Classic Battletech. Those who don't play Classic Battletech they are simply wayward children who need to see the light ;-)
I'm a web 2.0 nut. I'm on Twitter @exodusroad, Friendfeed, Facebook, Skype and every major instant messenger you can find. I roam the forums of all the major Classic Battletech sites, haven't been very vocal until recently. If you can't tell I'm a little long winded.
Projects I am working on:
- The Forums for this site
- Adding Formula P3 Paints to our site
- Assembling, painting and sculpting the base of the PX-3R Phoenix
- Writing the Scenario for the Three Rivers Con
I hope to hear from you soon!
